One To Watch: Songs of Trees
Now here’s something a little different!
Songs of Trees is from producer Kevin Osborne (AKA Kayo, Kid-KO, James Peach) and the track I heard today is called ‘Only Road‘ which is a lovely but chilling track featuring a fantastically smooth vocal and some excellent acoustic guitar work. The track evolves to include some nice yet subtle choir and backing vocals which lifts the song towards the end with great effect.
Launched under his own label, Sounds Unique, this track delivers a presence that keeps you hanging on every line. A finely crafted song with some excellent musicianship makes ‘Only Road‘ a winner for me. I would certainly like to hear more from this guy, who’s track record covers a chorus of musical ventures!
Founded in 2001, Sounds Unique has been involved with a variety of artists, styles and releases but Kevin freely admits he is a ‘wearer of many hats’ and as well as writing and producing his own music, has produced for Fitzpan, Damian Jermaine and Julian Wilde (Uniting Nations).
